WEAPON OF CHOICE
Um. Well, I suppose things got a bit busy back there in the summer. I had a show at Weapon of Choice in Bristol. I had a lot of fun pouring a lot of paint down their gallery walls and I haven't even been back to say sorry for pouring paint down their walls. The show was a lot of goats, primarily; thirteen of the evil fuckers. And I got a real stuffed goat, nailed it to a dartboard and poured paint over it. Which I've always wanted to do, being a pretty shameless Rauschenberg plagiarist. Well, anyway, it's all over (back in August, in fact) so thanks to everyone who came. BRIGHTON
There will be an exhibition of screen prints at Ink_d gallery in Brighton from 20th March - 10th April. I've finally got around to sorting through several of the teetering piles of paper in my studio and I've found some interesting things, such as low numbered prints from editions that have long sold out from this site (like the golden Cnut, Pacific Coast, the Eraser puppet theatre print and a lot more. And I've done the first of a series of carnivorous goat financiers (this one's called 'Pandemonium) especially for the show.
There's more about it, in a slightly more enthusiastic tone than I'd employ, here: right here.
I'm also in the middle of printing a picture called MANHATTAN. It's a 7 colour 500mm x 500mm colour-saturated map and was originally painted for a record called Hail to the Thief. The print's nearly done. Should finish it on saturday.
SOLD OUT
The soirée has sold out. It's not a huge affair, and interestingly the limit on sales has a nicely numerological twist. It's almost time for my to theatrically swing my black cloak over my shoulder, laugh darkly, and vanish into the fog of London's twilight. I have studied the gnarled confluence of leylines that splutter and choke beneath Conduit Street, and for the musicians the harbingers are largely benign...
It's too early to say goodbye to my hobby. The reckoning is still to come; I plan to be the first CEO of a record company to publish full and unexpurgated accounts online. And I don't have a Maths O Level, so you'll have to bear with me.

SIX INCH RECORDS 'LAUNCH' NIGHT
Six Inch Records dies quietly on 30th January 2009. Two years and one month after I first drunkenly decided to become a record label boss AS A HOBBY it's finally all fucking over. The records are now pretty much all gone, all 999 of them.
So, to 'celebrate', Six Inch Records is having a soirée at Sketch, 9 Conduit Street, Mayfair, on the 30th January at 8pm onwards. The Joy of Living are playing, Max de Mara are playing, Patrick Bell refuses to even turn up, and I've booked one of my drinking companions to come and DJ. You'll need a ticket if you want to come. They cost £6.66, of course. You can get them from ticketweb.co.uk or seetickets.com. The last remaining Six Inch Records will be on sale if there are any left. See you there, perhaps.
